Thank you message from Runcorn Food Bank

Thank you to all at Westfield Primary School for the generous £64.06 and 49.15Kg of food;

the weight of food represents 140 meals provided to people struggling to make ends meet. We do rely on both financial and food gifts and we are experiencing even more demands on our services in the current economic climate. Every penny donated is put towards the purchase of food and other necessities for vulnerable people in our local community.

Trussell Trust statistics show that throughout the country the number of foodbanks has increased and the numbers of emergency food parcels given out have increased by 52% from the pre-pandemic year 2019/20. From 1 April to 30 September 2022 1.3 million emergency food parcels were distributed and almost half a million of these were for children – so thank you again for all those people your gifts will help.
