Willow Class Home Learning - Wednesday 13/05/2020
Date: 13th May 2020 @ 8:31am
Good morning,
It is Wednesday today so we are nearly halfway through the week and hopefully the weather will be sunnier today. There were a lot of puddles on our daily walk yesterday and Harry and Amelia loved jumping in them in their wellies!
For your writing activity today we are continuing with The Highway Rat. The Highway Rat finally gets caught out for his unkind acts towards others. Can you make a newspaper report about the moment he is caught out and what happens to him? Think about who catches him, where he goes to and how you think that he feels about being caught. You could even turn your newspaper report into a news video recording, pretending that you are the newsreporter.
Here is the BBC iPlayer link again if you do not have access to the book - https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b09kkt1k/the-highway-rat
I have also attached some photographs of my daughter playing a phonics and maths game. We have used the phonics game a lot in class and can be made yourself from a template on the Orchard Toys website - https://www.orchardtoys.com/dept/activity-sheets_d0129.htm - this website also has a lot of free activity sheets which you may find useful.
Enjoy your day!
