Good morning and welcome to Friday, the Easter Holidays are soon upon us!

For the next two weeks, we will not be posting daily writing tasks so that you can enjoy a rest during Easter.  I will post an Easter Holidays Learning Grid with suggested, optional actvities to keep you busy and update activities on Active Learn Bug Club, Education City and Purple Mash.  Please continue to email me with any work/activities and photos, I enjoy looking at them with Amelia (my daughter) and she loves learning all of your names and what you have been up to!

For your writing blog today, I am setting you a challenge! Carrying on with the 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt story', I would like for you to write a diary entry, pretending that you are the bear in the story.  Think about how you got into the cave, how you feel about being alone there, how you felt when the family found you and why you followed them home.  I had added your success criteria and my example of a diary entry.

Your success criteria is;

• use and to join words and phrases
• capital letters and full stops
• ! or ? at the end of a sentence 

Dear Diary,

What a sad day because I have lost my family!  This morning I went out to find some food for my family as we were running out of fish.  It started snowing and I could not find my way back home so I hid in a warm cave that I found.  I was all alone and a bit scared until I heard voices and saw children.  I was happy because I thought they were going to help me but they screamed and ran away.  I followed them to their house but they would not let me in.  I felt sad and lost again.

For reception children, feel free to write a diary entry or I would like to see a picture of the bear hiding in the cave and a sentence to describe what he is doing and how he feels.
