Oak Class Home Learning 25.03.2020
Date: 25th Mar 2020 @ 8:19am
Good morning Oak Class!
I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. Wednesday can only mean one thing…we are half way through the working week!
English
Something a little different today…
Every Wednesday I would like you to write a diary entry about how your week has been. We are currently living through a moment in history that future generations might possibly learn about – how crazy is that! So today’s task is to write about yourself, how you are feeling, what you have been up to and most importantly, what is keeping you happy whilst you’re not at school. I will put my diary entry on a separate blog post for you to look at as an example.
Success criteria:
- Include at least one thing that has made you happy in the last few days
- Include thoughts, feelings and emotions
- Recount some of the activities you have been up to
- Consistently write in the first person
- Use cohesive devices across paragraphs
Maths
Again, I want Wednesdays to be a break from the norm so please complete some practical maths today! You might want to practise your baking skills and put your knowledge of units of measure into action; you could create some potions or write a shopping list and work out the total. I’m interested to see what creative ideas you come up with so please post what you have done in the comments section of this blog. You have also got some maths tasks on Education City should you with to complete those too.
Some little reminders:
- If your work doesn’t have an ‘I can’ set for it then please title your work as something appropriate that makes the learning intention clear.
- If you want to post a picture of your work or an edited version then please do this on your personal blog.
- You can also ask your parents/carers to email me any work or photos of your work at my new email – mrsdavies@westfieldprimaryschool.com
- The learning grid tasks are to be completed at ‘some point’ during this week so don’t worry about completing them all in one day.
Have a fabulous day! I’m missing you all.
Mrs D :)
