Oak Class Home Learning 24.03.2020

Date: 24th Mar 2020 @ 8:40am

Good morning Oak Class!

What a glorious day! The sun is shining brightly so I hope you all get to enjoy it at some point today (even if it is only is for a little while).

I just wanted to clear up a couple of queries from yesterday…

  1. If your work doesn’t have an ‘I can’ set for it then please title your work as something appropriate that makes the learning intention clear.
  2. If you want to post a picture of your work or an edited version then please do this on your personal blog.
  3. The learning grid tasks are to be completed at ‘some point’ during this week so don’t worry about completing them all in one day.

English

I can use descriptive vocabulary to write the next chapter of a story

I am going to give you the opening to the next part of our story, The Explorer, and I would like you to continue with the narrative. I am not expecting you to know what happens next in the actual book, you are to make up your own version of events. Use this opening to your chapter as a stimulus to get your creative juices flowing!

They stood where the ground curved to meet the river. The river was a stark, bright blue.

Maths

Work through the pages, starting at a level that you find to be an appropriate level of challenge (this will be a different point for everyone). Please look at the colour of your text book and complete the work that has been set for you.

Remember, there are examples of how to do the work at the top of the page in your Target Your Maths book.

The ‘I can’ for maths should be taken from the top of the page in your workbook.

Yellow – p.15 & 16

Blue – p.61

Purple – p.61

Orange – p.102

I will publish the answers for today’s work tomorrow.
