Good morning Oak Class.
I hope you are ready for another fun-filled day. Let me know if you do something particularly interesting today. Have you followed my advice over the last few days and either made something; played with something or done something fun?
Yesterday evening, after tea, Isla and I made our traybake. I've attached a collage of some photographs I took whilst we were making/eating it. It was utterly delicious! There was only one problem...my husband wanted to join in and he over whipped the cream so there was a little fail at the end there. But never mind, he has learnt from that mistake!
Writing (put the main question as your title)
Today's task has a British Values focus of ‘Democracy’. During times of uncertainty, we should voice our concerns and listen to the thoughts of others.
I want you to think about and reflect on the following question:
How do communities work together to help those who need support?
Often people in their communities will support and help each other when it is needed. What is a community? Find the definition of this word.
Can you think of ways people have helped each other during or current situation e.g. been shopping for someone in isolation; phoned someone to check they are ok; teachers sending work home?
During times of difficulty, it is important we try to support and help people within communities. We might find we need somebody to help us too!
As in our British Values lessons, write a paragraph to reflect on the main question. I would then like you to write a further paragraph that outlines some of the positives that have come out of the current Covid 19 situation e.g. decreased air pollution; spending time with loved ones; taking time to appreciate the small things.

I’m really looking forward to reading today’s responses. Have a lovely day everyone! Contact me through the blog or my email if you need me.
