Michael ran home and excitedly told his mother what he had seen on the shores of the river.

“Mum, I’ve just met a whale and he told me all these messages,” he panted rapidly.

“Don't be so silly dear. There are no whales in rivers, they live in oceans!”

“I promise mum! I saw it with my own eyes!” 

Michael’s mum looked at him suspiciously with a confused and slightly concerned look on her face.

“Where did you see this whale?” she asked him.

“In the Thames mum. It was there in the shallows and it spoke to me and told me all about its family and its grandad, who was a great explorer.”
