Maple Class home learning Thursday 2/4/20

Happy Thursday morning Maple Class! Thank you for all your messages yesterday. Hopefully you’re all getting on ok with some of the other tasks that I set you on your weekly home learning grid, such as the place value work in Maths. I know that some of you have sent me photos of some of the fab work that you’ve been doing and I’ve loved looking at it.

In our house yesterday, we did some Face painting. What have you done differently to your usual activities around the house?

Today’s English task

Today I would like you to complete your story with the final 2 paragraphs; the resolution and the ending.

Resolution – How did your character/characters solve the problem? 

Ending – How do they return back to their normal lives?

When you’ve finished writing, check if you’ve used the following and underline them:

• A range of punctuation (full stops, capital letters, commas, exclamation marks, questions marks)
• Dialogue (speech)
• Expanded noun phrases with ambitious vocabulary
• Fronted adverbials (in the morning, over the hill, in the distance)
• Prepositions (between, next to, besides, over, above, under, before, after)
