Grow a pound

Dear Parents/carers,

 To help encourage young enterprise Year 6 are going to ‘Grow a pound’.  They have all been given £2 each from the PTA and have come up with some business ideas.  They will have to spend the money themselves on whatever they want to do, but need receipts of everything, and need to write down how much they have spent on the sheet which will be given out in class.

 This will lead up to running stalls with their chosen idea, such as selling things or running a game, and asking for children from other year groups to part with their hard earned cash.  The stalls will be running week commencing 8th July.  Children can work on their own or in small groups.

 I would appreciate if you could help your children somewhat with this, such as maybe talking through their ideas and maybe pointing them in directions on where to go to buy their stock/equipment.  They are also able to rent/buy items from school.  I do not want anything from home brought in as the idea is for them to create their own business only using the £2!
