Maple Class Home Learning 22.5.20
Date: 22nd May 2020 @ 7:38am
Good morning!
This is the last work I will be setting until after half term week now, then it will be the beginning of Summer 2!
Even though I won't be setting any new work, I would still love to receive news of what you are getting up to and pictures of the fun you are having. Remember that you can do this on the blog or your parents can send emails to mrshavard@westfieldprimaryschool.com. I truly thank all of you have have sent me messages, photos and work over these past couple of months - it brightens up my days!
Today's writing task
At the end of this half term, I like you to think about how you are feeling and how things have changed for you and write a diary entry in your book. I've written one of my own below, to give you some ideas.
It seems like we've been in lockdown for so much longer than 2 months. I can still imagine my class sat in front of me , hoping for dojos and an extra class treat as if it was yesterday! Some days are good days and some days are not so good and I feel worried and sad. I miss my class, I miss my family and I miss my friends. Even though I see lots of them in video calls, it isn't the same as being able to give them a hug!
Last weekend, I met up with my best friend to go for a walk around Port Sunlight. We sat on a field and talked for a long time and that was lovely. I've enjoyed playing frisbee with Erin and Holly on the field, riding my bike and going for long walks; we even did some 'sports day' events this week. I've loved doing quizzes with friends (including the Westfield staff) and playing Just Dance to get my daily exercise, but I do wish I could close my eyes, open them and everything would be back to normal. I can't wait to go to the zoo, go on holiday again and hug all those people who I love.
Have a lovely half term everyone, take care and stay safe. Mrs H x
