For or against? Is Jub the villain in the story?

After reading the next part of our class story, The Lost Happy Endings, Oak Class discussed how every fairy tale has a crime. However, in this particular tale, the role of the villain was not exactly clear cut. We split into two teams to debate about whether or not we thought Jub could be considered a villain in the story. The children came up with a series of points to support their viewpoint, using evidence from the text to give examples.

I was incredibly impressed with how the children articulated their viewpoints during the debate. They were all very passionate when presenting their ideas and evidence. I really enjoyed being part of today's lesson - keep up the hard work Oak Class!
