Easter Break
Date: 6th Apr 2020 @ 9:05am
Good morning Oak Class!
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the weather.
Today marks the start of the Easter holidays and because of this, I won’t be posting on our class blog daily. The daily blog will return on the 20th of April. However, if you need me, please feel free to post on your personal blog or ask an adult to send me an email on mrsdavies@westfieldprimaryschool.com.
There is not an expectation to complete any work during the Easter holidays in the same way in which you have been doing. However, in case you would like some ideas to keep your brains ticking over, I am going to list a selection of activities that you may wish to complete.
My friend, who is an author and illustrator, is streaming a live art club at 11am every Monday. He is fabulous, and I know it’s something that a lot of you will enjoy. He is also a comedian so I’m sure his tutorials will give you some laughs. Check him out on his YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h6VlosEVXA
I will set some work on our online platforms (Education City, Purple Mash and Bug Club).
Every Wednesday, continue to keep a weekly diary about your experiences during the lockdown. In years to come, you will thank me for this as you are currently living through an historical event!
Year 6 children – complete some revision out of your study and workbooks.
Bake! Try a new recipe and enjoy the fruits of your labour. You all know I love a bit of cake so send me a photo of your masterpieces.
READ. READ. READ. READ. If you don’t choose to complete any of my activities over your break, then that’s absolutely fine, but I would like you to still read. Trust me on this one, with reading comes knowledge and with knowledge, comes power. Whilst we can’t leave our homes, let reading give you a place to go.
Keep safe and look after yourselves. Although I won’t be as active on Purple Mash, I am still always here if you need me. I'm so proud of you all and although we aren't together at this moment in time, you are all still part of our Westfield community and we care very much about each and every one of you.
Missing you as always.
Mrs Davies xx
