Beech Class Easter Activities
Date: 6th Apr 2020 @ 10:09am
Hello Beech Class!
Today is the start of the Easter break and I really hope that the sun keeps shining for us! I will not be posting a daily blog during this time as that will return on the 20th April. You can still contact me on mrscrook@westfieldprimaryschool.com if you would like to. There will still be online activities for you to access on Purple Mash, Bug Club and Education City. Please try your best to read as much as possible, whether it be newspapers, magazines, your own books, school books- anything! There is no expectation for you to complete lots of work over Easter but I have put some suggestions of activities together should you want to keep busy.
Art
Can you create a treasure map for an Easter egg hunt? You can make it look like a real treasure map by tearing the edges, staining the paper with coffee or tea and rub dirt/soil on it. Make sure to do this before you draw your map as it may spoil it otherwise.
P.E
Can you have an egg and spoon race with somebody that you live with? You don't need to use eggs, you could use anything that you have at home. If the standard race is too easy for you to complete then why not turn it into an obstacle race where you have to manoeuvre over/under objects without dropping your egg!
STEM
Can you find a way to move an egg along a zip wire? Follow the link to find out what you will need for this challenge.

RE
Creat a scene from the easter story using natural materials e.g. leaves and twigs.
I would love to see any completed tasks via email. Take care everybody!
Mrs Crook :)
