Good morning Oak Class!

I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday. The sun is shining again today, so that instantly puts me in a good mood – I hope everyone is also feeling happy and well.

For today’s writing task, we will be returning back to the poem, The Kraken by Alfred Lord Tennyson.

Writing – The Kraken

Find three synonyms (words that have similar meanings) for each of the following words:

• wondrous
• ancient
• slumbering
• abysmal

Use a thesaurus (online or book) to help you find effective synonyms.

Once you have done this, apply your new words into descriptive sentences about the Kraken.
