Good morning Oak Class!
I hope you all had a lovely Monday and were able to access the learning activities that I set. Last night, we made pizzas in the Davies household and we used tortilla wraps as the pizza base – they were surprisingly yummy!
Writing – The Kraken
Today will continue to focus on the poem The Kraken by Alfred Lord Tennyson.
A kraken is a mythical sea monster. They come from Scandinavian/Norse myths (you might remember us discussing them when we read Arthur and the Golden Rope). Krakens are rumoured to live off the coast of Norway. Draw what you think this sea monster looks like – use some of the words from the poem. Draw its setting deep below the ocean – what would it look like? Label you picture with some words from the text.
Just a reminder…
I will post on it every morning with a writing task. All other learning tasks can be found on the ‘weekly learning grid’ which is on the ‘School Spider’ app and on our school website. Here is the link that will send you to it!
Please do not worry about giving each piece of work an ‘I can’ statement.
Remember, I am available to contact via our school blog or through my email. If you wish to email me, please ask an adult to do so – mrsdavies@westfieldprimaryschool.com
As always, I'm missing you all very much!
