Hello Oak Class!
I hope that you are all well and had a lovely weekend. This week marks the start of 'phase 2' in our new home learning approach. Thank you very much to everyone that came to collect their packs from school on Friday - it was lovely to see your smiling faces!
Everything you need to complete your home learning is contained within the packs that you collected from school. If you are yet to collect these, then they are still available to pick up. Everyone's pack has their name on and you are more than welcome to take a new home learning book too.
Our whole school topic this half term is 'Protect Our Planet'. Every year group has a different text from which their work has been set. Your learning grid has suggested activities for you to complete over the next two weeks.
Year 5 – The Brilliant Deep and Coral Reefs
For those of you in Y5, here is a link to Mr Parker reading your focus text:

Year 6 – Plastic Planet and Greta’s Story: The schoolgirl who went on strike to save the planet
Please use the links provided to support your learning when completing your home learning tasks.
Here is the link to our school website where you can find all of the documents that are contained in your packs. They are listed in the 'Files to Download' area and they provide useful links to websites etc. https://www.westfieldprimaryschool.com/blog/oak-class-home-learning-15.06.2020/53024
Your maths work has been provided in the form of worksheets and they look at some new areas of learning.
Use you Maths study books to support you with the new concepts. Here are some links that might help you with this week's Maths work too.

I just wanted to remind everyone about what a fantastic job you are all doing whilst at home. These are unprecedented times and I am so proud of you all! I shall create a blog post on Wednesday to check in on you all – please respond to this.
Keep safe everyone.
