Today's learning

This week we are going to focus on journeys and instructions so today's writing task is to write a set of instructions for playing your favourite game. We've been playing lots of board games in the Havard household since we've been off school, but your instructions could be for any game. 

Remember to include:

• The items you will need to play the game
• Bossy (imperative) verbs e.g. put, roll, turn, place, throw
• Adverbs to describe your verbs e.g. carefully put
• Prepositions for time and place e.g. Next roll the dice, secondly place the counter next to the square/ on top of the space
